Answer:

1. a. the wearing away of land b. falling off a cliff

Erosion is the geological process in which earthen materials are worn away and transported by natural forces such as wind or water. ... Most erosion is performed by liquid water, wind, or ice (usually in the form of a glacier).

2. b. the wearing away of land by the sea

Coastal erosion is the process by which local sea level rise, strong wave action, and coastal flooding wear down or carry away rocks, soils, and/or sands along the coast.

3. a. when the cliff is being eroded by strong acids by the sea

When waves break on cliff faces and slowly erode it. As the sea pounds cliff faces it also uses the scree from other wave actions to batter and break off pieces of rock from higher up the cliff face which can be used for this same wave action and attrition.

5. wear when the sun is at its peak

If you have to be in the sun during its peak hours (from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.), protect yourself by wearing clothing that's light but still covers most of your skin and a wide-brimmed hat, and don't forget to protect exposed skin by applying sunscreen. Choose a sunscreen that has a Sun Protection Factor (SPF) of at least 15. Reapply your sunscreen every two hours, or after swimming or sweating heavily. Try to find a sunscreen that protects your skin from both UVA and UVB rays. Finally, remember to wear sunscreen on cloudy days, too, because UV rays come through the clouds.

Use a sunscreen and wear protective clothing to safeguard your skin from the sun's harmful rays.

8. What are the changes in the force of attraction of particles of matter when water boils and evaporate? a. very weak to strong c. weak to strong b. strong to weak d. weak to very weak

Boiling

If a liquid is heated the particles are given more energy and move faster and faster expanding the liquid. The most energetic particles at the surface escape from the surface of the liquid as a vapour as it gets warmer. Liquids evaporate faster as they heat up and more particles have enough energy to break away. The particles need energy to overcome the attractions between them. As the liquid gets warmer more particles have sufficient energy to escape from the liquid. Eventually even particles in the middle of the liquid form bubbles of gas in the liquid. At this point the liquid is boiling and turning to gas. The particles in the gas are the same as they were in the liquid they just have more energy. At normal atmospheric pressure all materials have a specific temperature at which boiling occurs. This is called the "boiling point" or boiling temperature. As with the melting point the boiling point of materials vary widely e.g. nitrogen -210oC, alcohol 78oC, aluminium 459oC.

Any material with a boiling temperature below 20oC is likely to be a gas at room temperature. When liquids boil the particles must have sufficient energy to break away from the liquid and to diffuse through the surrounding air particles. As these particles cool down and lose energy they will condense and turn back to liquid. When steam is formed by water boiling at 100oC the particles quickly condense as the surrounding air temperature is likely to be much less that 100oC so the particles cool rapidly. In fact the "steam" coming out of a boiling kettle can only be seen because some of the gas particles have condensed to form small droplets of water.

When a gas turns to a liquid (condenses) or a liquid turns to a solid (solidifies) the particles lose energy to the surroundings.

20. Weakness of attitude becomes weakness of character.

Explanation:

Their brain processes tons of decisions, large and small, every single minute of every day. There are values and principles in life that are followed, which affect how people are approached and situations are handled

This famous phrase was coined by none other than Albert Einstein, and it really holds a lot of weight. At its core, it speaks to the idea that if we remain in an attitude of laziness or apathy towards life, then this will inevitably result in a corresponding lack of character or moral strength. In other words, those who don't strive to better themselves will not reach their full potential—there's simply no way around it. It's essential that one maintains an attitude of dedication and hard work in order to become a successful individual, inside and out. A person should always strive for more, take risks now and then, and maintain ambition even when things seem tough; otherwise stagnation becomes inevitable. So go out there and show the world what you're made of!

25. "the peso is not weak because the peso is weak, the peso is weak because the dollar is strong" explaination

This statement is an example of the concept of relative strength. In foreign exchange markets, the strength of one currency is often measured relative to another currency. In this case, the statement is suggesting that the weakness of the Philippine peso is not solely due to its own inherent weakness or economic problems, but rather is largely a result of the strength of the US dollar.

When the US dollar is strong, it can make other currencies, like the Philippine peso, weaker by comparison. This can happen for a variety of reasons, including the relative strength of the US economy, higher interest rates in the US, or increased demand for US assets. These factors can make the US dollar more attractive to investors and lead to a higher demand for US dollars relative to other currencies, including the Philippine peso.

Conversely, when the US dollar weakens, it can make other currencies stronger by comparison. This can lead to a stronger peso, as investors may shift their focus towards other currencies that appear to be stronger and offer more attractive investment opportunities.

Therefore, the strength or weakness of a currency is often a relative concept and can be influenced by a variety of external factors, including the strength of other currencies in the global market.
